UW Matsuri 2015 was held by the Japanese Student Association (JSA) in the HUB North Ballroom at the University of Washington on May 16. With the theme of Japanese fairy tales and myths, booths were decorated in an old and fantastical style. Featuring takoyaki, yakisoba and other popular Japanese street food, there were also game booths including a Sumo game and a kimono photo booth. On the main stage, invited musicians performed various Japanese songs. The main guest was d-ize, a singer/songwriter who was previously a member of Goose House. The audience enjoyed taking pictures with him after the concert.

ワシントン大学で５月16日、日本人学生会（ＪＳＡ）による「UW Matsuri 2015 ～祭～」が開催された。日本の祭りを再現する同団体最大規模のイベントであり、日本の昔話がテーマとなった今年は数多く並んだ屋台がおとぎばなしの世界観で彩られた。たこ焼、焼きそばなど日本の祭りでは馴染みの深い食べ物の他、宝釣りやおみくじなどの遊戯屋台も充実した。中でも注目を集めたのが相撲体験で、丸々とした着ぐるみに身を包んだ大迫力の押し合いは会場を盛り上げた。浴衣の試着ができるフォトブースもあり、女性を中心に人気を集めた。会場内ステージでは多彩な日本の演目が披露され、音楽ユニット「Goose house」の元メンバーで現在も活躍を続けるシンガーソングライターのd-ize氏も参加。ライブ後には写真撮影も行われた。
