Local college students have been active for the Kumamoto/Oita relief after the multi-earthquakes hit in April.

The University of Washington Japanese Student Association has been running a fundraising campaign to support those who were affected by the Kumamoto Earthquake in April. The student club has set the booth in the campus’ Red Square by this weekend.

Seattle University’s International Student Center will host a relief event for Japan and Ecuador on May 12 from 12 – 2 p.m. Students from Japan and Ecuador will serve their country’s foods in the fundraiser.

Japanese students in Bellevue College, who came from Kumamoto, are also planning some relief activities.
